Today thousands of news outlets have put Apple on the line for a recently discovered tracking feature inside the iPhone OS. Via the use of Cell Tower triangulation, the phone stores the tracking data in a file on both its drive and its computers drive. In addition the phone reports this data twice a day to Apple.
Is this illegal? Or, is it simply an exploitable aspect of the mobile phenomenon? Privacy in the age of the internet has become elusive. Perhaps it has even changed its definition. I’m sure that there will be much more on this in the near future.
